Ekbhumi's art is completely transcendent! Every line and shade reverberates with both ancient tradition and modern verve, topped with a grand dollop of love and devotion.“reverberates with both ancient tradition and modern verve”

This is a transcendent work. It transcends “coloring book.” It transcends “art book.” It transcends even “book.” It is more like a subtle presence, as Shakti herself is, or can be, in our lives. Use it as a doorway into grace.“a doorway into grace”
Ekabhumi has risen to the call of yogis & yoginis around the world with his new book, The Shakti Coloring Book. This book is a triumphant manifestation of the Universe that serves as a profound portal into the realms of devotional yoga and sacred Goddess art. Ekabhumi soulfully invites us into a world of mythic consciousness and artistry where every Goddess reveals to us aspects of our innermost nature and opens our heart to the creative flow of life. This book will be an essential resource for all my yoga teacher trainings and for generations of yogis to come. JAI MA!“an essential resource”
Venus yantra in the home of Miluse van de Kant
I first saw the Venus yantra on Ekabhumi's facebook page… So beautiful! My heart started beating fast; I was amazed. Such precice work — I had never seen it on wood like this — and made with love and devotion. I was moved, actually really touched by this work.“uplifting and inspiring”
A few weeks later it arrived, having survived the trip to Europe without any damage. Finally unpacked, the first impression of the real-life version of Venus felt like a reunion. And now that she's in the house, it's like she's always been here. Impressive, but not intimidating. Uplifting and inspiring. It brings beauty and positive energy into the house and into our lives.
Thank you, Ekabhumi!

As a scholar and practitioner within the tradition of the Tantras of Shiva and Shakti, my reaction to the art of Charles Ekabhumi Ellik is one of astonishment. For here is an artist of consummate technical skill who also has the creative intuition (Skt. pratibhā) to create representations of the deities of this tradition that successfully convey the actual energy which is their true nature. Whether drawing or painting anthropomorphic deities or their mystic diagrams (yantra), the combination of precision and love in Ekabhumi's work is virtually unparalleled in my experience. I am immeasurably grateful that such an artist as he is willing to serve in such a sacred sevā as that of creating images that connect the viewer with the Divine in themselves and all things.“precision and love…virtually unparalleled”

Many years ago I had the fortune to be introduced to Charles by my father who was like a "Grandpa" and mentor to Charles while he embarked into the fascinating world of poetry. His "word images" as my father called them were the first signs of artistry I witnessed from Charles but as I got to know him more and he grew closer to my dad his true artistic talent in the form of sketch was what really garnered my attention. He blessed my father with an amazing likeness of him in charcoal on paper and I am pleased to say it did him wonderful justice. This art still hangs on my wall to remind me of my father and all things artistic - the wonderful creativity whether in words or on paper or in spirit- that Charles brings to my world. His spirit of learning new forms of artistry continually grows and his latest venture into Eastern art that parallels his belief system allows even those not familiar with the Eastern divinities and practice to experience this alternative beauty to what is standard in the Western World.“wonderful creativity”

Practicing yoga under your tutelage has been an enormously rewarding experience for me. You are not only a gifted teacher but also a passionate individual who believes totally in the holistic value that Yoga can bring to a person. All this transforms the practice from just pure fitness and flexibility, to something much deeper.
Whether you realize it or not, you’ve made a major difference in many of our lives. Thanks so much for that. I wish more and more people get the opportunity to train under you.“a gifted teacher…a passionate individual”
We have participated in a twice weekly Yoga class instructed by Ekabhumi in San Francisco. The class has been hugely satisfying physically, spiritually and intellectually. Ekabhumi teaches a holistic class that can benefit students at different levels of practice and in different relevant life impacting ways. He is an outstanding Yoga instructor and merits our highest recommendation.“an outstanding yoga instructor”

I've been running an annual poetry slam on my campus since 2003, and Ekabhumi is the poet, teacher, and emcee I trust every year to make the event a success. For our diverse community college student population, he is the perfect balance of inspirational, supportive, provocative, and just positively fun. Students who have never heard of slam can show up to the writing workshop with an empty page, get inspired by Ekabhumi's performances, write powerful poems under his guidance, and step onstage to rock the room, all in one evening!“inspirational, supportive, provocative, and just positively fun”
